iMovR EverMat Hybrid Chair Mat Review
Another Asian-imported mat, but this time it's made to the same exacting formulation as iMovR’s premium EcoLast line. Can it stand against the famous Hybrid Chair Mat? We're discussing all the differences and similarities between the two products.

iMovR brings quality at a reduced price yet again. Expanding on their EverMat collection, the treadmill and standing desk manufacturer offers a 4' x 3' Hybrid Chair Mat made of 100% polyurethane at half the price of their elite Ecolast Sit Stand Hybrid Mats. The new design comes one foot shorter than the original EcoLast Hybrid, but it feels no less spacious and functional. Unlike a plastic chair mat, it will protect your carpet and floors for a long time and will also cushion your soles when you switch from sitting to standing. The generous size allows you to make the transition in seconds without having to bend to reposition the mat. Simply stand up gently pushing your chair back and sit down pulling it back toward your desk.
The EverMat line is solid thanks to its 100% single body polyurethane construction, which gives it the bounce and support you want from an anti-fatigue mat that must also withstand the weight of an office chair. Where the plastic chair mat would crumble and change color, polyurethane mats are long-lasting, 99.99% anti-microbial, and heat resistant (up to 400 °F). Its ¾” thickness gives a level of comfort that allows you to stand for hours while 20-degree beveled edges make it ADA compliant and caster wheel-friendly. Like its brother the EverMat Portable, EverMat Hybrid comes only in black, but unlike the EcoLast Hybrid, it's only available in one size.
More space-conscious than the EcoLast, the EverMat Hybrid is a better choice if you have a smaller office or desk. You can reposition the mat so that the longer side runs perpendicular to your desk, if you want to be able to swiftly move back and forth between sitting and standing, as it prevents your chair from rolling off the mat when you stand up.
The EverMat Hybrid mat feels denser but is just as buoyant as the iMovR EcoLast Hybrid Mat, which means it won't sink to floor level as some mats do. Another notable feature that differentiates the EverMat from the EcoLast is the white iMovR logo at the left bottom corner (the EcoLast's is gray and it's at the top left). Finally, you'll pay $139.95 for the 4' x 3' EverMat, which is $130 less than the smallest 5' x 3' EcoLast Hybrid (which is also only available in black).
After spending some time using both EverMat and EcoLast, our verdict is that if the price wasn't a factor, we'd choose EcoLast every time simply due to its level of bounce--not too hard, not too soft. Some people may find EverMat's flat surface easier to use with a rolling chair. And if you prefer a denser mat over a cushy one, this may be another factor to take into account when choosing between the two products.
