Humanscale M8 Monitor Arm Review
The M8 monitor arm from Humanscale features many of the same innovations and functionality as the M2 monitor arm from the same company. The M8 expands on the M2’s capabilities, using a combination of friction axles and an internal counterbalance mechanism to support larger, heavier monitors (up to 40 pounds) than the M2. This increased capacity also enables the M8 to hold two monitors up to twenty pounds each on a single arm.
Humanscale has been around for over seven years. In that time the company has made a name for itself producing beautifully designed, durable equipment for the modern office. Their products have won numerous design awards and have even been featured in Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Many professionals work with two monitors today, so we’ve always got an eye open for good monitor arms that will accommodate them. We’re looking forward to testing Humanscale’s M8 monitor arm, and especially its dual monitor capabilities.
The M8 utilizes a spring lift system. For an explanation and comparison of spring and gas lift monitor arms, click here.
