The StandUpDeskStore Dual-Motor frame is better than the company’s single-motor offering to be sure, but it’s fairly expensive for what you’re getting. It has a good height range, 5-year warranty, programmable height presets and comes in three colors. But with a $499 price tag, it’s the most expensive budget DIY standing base we’ve reviewed, even if that’s where it fits competitively.

If you stack it up against iMovR’s Freedom DIY Standing Desk bases, the results aren’t pretty. The Freedom bases are cheaper ($399 for single-stage base and $474 for dual-stage base), have a better weight capacity and come with a much better warranty.

Equipped like a budget base frame but priced like a mid-tier one, the StandUpDeskStore dual-motor frame only soars when you compare it to the company’s single-motor version.
