Rating

Expert Rating
3.5
Positives Reliable 100% polyurethane unibody construction ensures this mat's effectiveness for many years.
Negatives Available in only one size and two colors. Lacks options to match the decor of a variety of office environments. Made in Taiwan.

Bottom Line

3.5
Imprint makes some of the most popular kitchen mats sold on Amazon, and they get good ratings, generally around 4.5 stars. However, the Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade standing desk mat is only offered in one size and two colors. Our vote is to stick with American-made products that come in much wider variety of sizes and colors.

Review

There are only a number of mats on the market made using the superior 100% polyurethane unibody construction method. These mats will perform superbly for a long time and are so far ahead of the rest of the pack that it really isn’t a contest. The Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade Anti-Fatigue Mat is one of these. While it has many positives, it falls short of getting our top recommendation, which is held by the iMovR EcoLast Premium Anti-Fatigue Mat. Following are the reasons why.

The Pros and Cons of the Imprint CumulusPRO

cumuluspro commercial grade standing mat
The Imprint CumulusPRO has 3/4″ thick polyurethane.

Material – The Imprint CumulusPRO is a successor to their Cumulus9 Comfort Mat. It has a 3/4″-thick body compared to the thinner 5/8″-thick Cumulus9. While the Cumulus9 is made of a multi-layer foam core, the Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade mat, like the iMovR EcoLast Premium, is constructed from one-piece polyurethane.

Polyurethane offers greater standing support and comfort, is anti-microbial and resistant to abrasion and puncture, and will last longer than inferior materials. In addition, it will not lose its buoyancy or delaminate over time. For more details about how materials and construction affect anti-fatigue mat quality, take a look at The Real Differences Between the Best Anti-Fatigue Mats and the Worst.

Size – The Imprint CumulusPRO comes in only one size, whereas the EcoLast Premium is available in four. Workers want to be able to comfortably stand on a mat that’s right for them and their workstation, and having a range of sizes to choose from is a convenient feature this mat lacks.

The CumulusPRO Commercial Grade is offered in Black and Espresso.

Color – The Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade mat is available in Black and Brown. The EcoLast Premium comes in five different colors. Black will always be timeless, but more color-hungry offices won’t like this mat’s limited selection.

Country of Origin – Many of our readers prefer products that are made in the USA. When it comes to a product that involves a potentially harmful environmental impact, we all feel better knowing that it was made under much more stringent US or European regulatory guidelines versus Asian laws, which tend to be more lax. The Imprint CumulusPRO is made in Taiwan, versus the EcoLast Premium, which is made in America.

The Takeaway

The Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade Anti-Fatigue Mat has strengths in its 100% polyurethane unibody construction, which gives it superior durability, comfort, and support. However, it has its drawbacks. This mat is only offered in one size and two colors, and it is made in China, while its competitor, the iMovR EcoLast Premium Anti-Fatigue Mat, comes in a variety of sizes and colors and is made in the USA. For these reasons, the Imprint CumulusPRO Commercial Grade doesn’t stand up to our Editors’ Choice, the EcoLast Premium.

This review is a little confusing. The product is the #2 favorite, gets 4 stars, and is so similar to the #1 that instead of describing it fully, there is just a link to the review of the #1 favorite. But the review is an almost entirely negative listing of how it is a “pretender” and “falls short”. It is hard to read this page and think the product is being recommended in any way. The 2-star rated products actually have more positive sounding reviews.
